Michael Corsa is a sound engineer and DJ at WNUR 89.3 FM in Chicago. He has held the positions of General Manager and Jazz Music Director for the station and currently produces the Airplay Show, which invites in artists from around the world to perform live on the air. For two years he coordinated the Chicago Sounds Jazzfest and also interviewed artists for the World Music Festival in Chicago. In collaboration with Block Cinema in Evanston, he has produced Sonic Celluloid, which asked musicians of various styles to compose and perform original scores to silent and experimental films. Originally from Pennsylvania, Michael came to the Midwest to pursue a BA from Northwestern University and now currently lives in Chicago. He also plays string bass and bass guitar.
