Following a lifetime career in dance, Maggie Kast received an M.F.A. in writing from Vermont College. She's published fiction and essays in The Sun, Nimrod International , Paper Street, Writer's Chronicle, Rosebud, Image and others. A chapter of her memoir, A Crack Between theWorlds, recently won an Illinois Arts Council Literary Award and a Pushcart nomination. She teaches Writing and Rhetoric part-time at Columbia College and lives in Chicago.
